Odd Earbuds

Anyone have new earbuds by brands like Sennheiser or Philips, and where the individual earbuds branch off, one cable is longer than the other one?
How the heck are you supposed to wear these? I've got one that's totally tight to an ear and the other is loose and dangles all over. It also looks silly to put one behind my neck. What gives? Who is the idiot that came up with this?

the cord should go behind your head (maybe?). my psp came with headphones like that. seriously a bad bad bad idea.

I think you're meant to wrap the long sided one around the back of your neck. It's to stop the wires from getting in the way when you're jogging, apparently.
Or cracking one out.

I just picked up a sony pair like this today and it honestly doesn't bother me. As long as I'm not pulling the other side tight then i don't notice a difference.

I wouldn't be in this predicament if my Sony Eggo headphones had not broken recently! The MDR D66, and I cry every day.
I'll probably spend more getting them repaired than I spent on them. And well worth every penny.

it really doesn't get any better than this, when it comes to earphones.
and they are under 20 bucks, no risk of add ons getting stuck on your ear canal, and it has volume control on the cable. (that should be standard)
You might not get the sound quality you get from actual headphones, but they are small to carry arround

yep, the long cord leads to the first ear and the 2nd then wraps behind (or in front if you prefer) your head to the other ear. fucking rocket-science it 'aint but there you go...

It's not actually retarded, makes loads of sense. Just like the buds that came with my sony ericsson.
