So, the one looks like a mule. One looks like an ostrich. One has a nice smile, but is really old and insincere. The other looks like the doorman at a gay bar.
Why was this show, and now, The Movie, so popular?
Even I don't get it...

Due to the ever growing population of manginas.

hahah, people are obviously voting lower without watching the film.

By the way, this is like asking why anyone likes anything.

I’m gonna go out on a limb here and say I loved the TV series. None of my male counterparts liked it, and I was in fact criticised for liking it.

- Doesn't matter to me. Maybe because I'm a female, but usually if something is on HBO it's not totally horrible.Jaline
- Hey, it’s no Deadwood, but I stand by it – ghey or otherwise.MrOneHundred

well, my wife loves it, and I bought her the whole season pack for her birthday and eventually got to watch it with her. At first it was ok, but before I knew it, I knew the whole story, and saw it until the last episode. It's not that bad, it has it's good lines and episodes. Oh, and yes, because I'm a great husband, I will go see it May 30...
- So...it's predictable (like chick flicks) but still entertaining every now and then?Jaline
- I really have no idea, but I do know a lot of people watch it.Jaline
- yeah, I would say a little more interesting that chick flicks because of the real subjects and adult content that is somewhat 'real life'OSFA
- a little more 'real life'. Of course there are also stupid 'chick world' fantasies but it's not bad... check itOSFA

My ex used to make me watch Sex in the City it relentlessly. At first I was WTF each week it aired, but over a period of a year or so the show actually started to grow on me. The characters were very interesting, and the writing for the show was well done. I did gain valuable knowledge from a females perspective, which was both enlighting and entertaining. Needless to say the show helped recognize that I actually did not even like my ex and realized that she was a pain in the ass and a whiny bitch just like Sara Jessica Parker.
