The real thing that would make me uneasy about using this is not the possibility of my "private" information becoming public, because that's mostly already the case, as pointed out by madirish. The holdup is that I don't want to have targeted ads related to my health issues! I am already sort of disgusted by the mass advertising of pharmaceuticals.

Computers are playing such large roles in our lives it doesn't seem far fetched to use them to keep track of your health. Google is a bushiness out to make money. So I would never pass my info to them. At the same time I would be hesitant of using a similar system if my government offered it.

does anyone here have their perscription records on file with any networked (closed or otherwise) pharmacy chain? i would love to see how that is any different than something of this nature, in your eyes.
