We're working on a local (type/photography) art project at the moment called Letterpool. Early days yet and the site is full of flash-bugs, including some scrolling issues on smaller resolutions, but thought I'd get some feedback from you guys on the concept/ style etc.

Good on you for not posting something in the 2nd or 3rd person.
A couple things that irk me about your site:
IS there anyway to see the pics without text over them? As in you have photos to click in the "recent Submissions" but they change the background only.you need scrolling of some kind - I don't have my browser full screen and everything is cut off at the bottom unless I maximize the window - which I am not willing to do.
the colors/actions look and feel good. Not a big fan of the web-two-point-oh sticker look for "letterpool" in the top right though.

What do you mean by web 2.0 sticker, cheeky ;) IT'S NOT THE SAME THING!!!!
Yep, like I said there are scrolling issues which aren't scripted yet and yes, there will be a button to hide/show info, so photos can be seen in full glory.

Just launched this, after various amends... cheers :)

Some nice design cues..and a cool idea.
- The images seem to take a long time to load for there resolution
- Not sure of the gallery will solve this..but the information is too dominant sitting over the image..seems like it could be reduced a lot.

Cheers Mark. It's a pain about how to size the content area with user-resolutions differing so much nowadays. We figured as our target audience is pre-dominantly those in the creative industry that resolutions would be quite big and if we presented content small, it might look a bit lost on their big screens.

Put the new version of the site live today, with user-entries starting to go up too. We've had over 200 entries already, so should see them appearing over the next few days.

I like it. Cool concept, well executed, catchy name. Now just need more shots. Good luck!

Cheers stoplying!
50-100 more should be up within next few days... keep checking.
