Fuck it. Here's my pure and honest conclusion.
Russian coach Guus Hiddink found out achilles heel and they broke our winning system/tactics. Russia didn't play inpiring/imaginative soccer.... BUT > they were INFINITLY stronger, the energy they had was fucking mindblowing, it seemed they had 22 players.
Russia won,
and it was absolutely WELL deserved.period.
that's sports.
that's life.

Portugal sucked. Holland lost. England didn't even qualified. All of my usual faves have gone the way of the dildo.

well put janne, especially the 22 player bit... every time a dutch player had the ball there were 2 russians on him...?!
good on them, they played harder and had more stamina...

I couldn't believe it! The Dutch couldn't find a way through, I was surprised he didn't use Robben (was he injured?), as I thought he has looked very dangerous when he played, plus Russia asked a lot of questions of the Dutch defence, and if it hadn't of been for Van der Sar it could have been over a lot sooner, that said
Russia look better and better with each game, which I guess is a testiment to not only the players (Arshavin is amazing), but to Guus Hiddink (you only have to look at S.Korea) and ultimately I guess it took a Dutchman to find an answer to Holland's game.I hope he isn't now vilified in the Netherlands, I'm sure he won't but the BBC/ITV commentators were banding the word traitor about (pah!)
Sadly though if Russia do go on to win this, it will take a bit of the sting off England's pathetic qualification attempts!!
I reckon a Turkey v Russia final, it just seems to be panning out like that!
