I'm moving to Seattle from Atlanta. Anybody have info on decent places to live with good bus/train/bike access to downtown?
I'm looking to rent a house in the 1,300 - 1,800 price range...
Thanks!

lucky bastard.
Capitol Hill, Queen Ann or Beltown would be the best access to d/t.

If you want to live super close to downtown, go for Capitol Hill or Queen Anne neighborhoods. Belltown is nice too, more of a yuppie feel but right in the middle of downtown. I live right on the border of Cap Hill and downtown and can walk to main downtown area in five minutes, or to clubs/ bars in another five.Shouldn't be hard to find something in that price range either.

Bring your bum shield. I remember the homeless kids there being really aggro when begging for change

Beltown was a great place to visit - but yeah - fookin' bums and homeless hasslin' you everywhere.

Seattle's amazing. Ive been here for about 7 years. Capitol is amazing. Great scene up there with all the indie stores, local coffee shops, music clubs. Queen anne is nice too, a little older feel, but still sweet.
I live on the Eastside, but its not cheap. :(

Thanks all. I'm looking at a few houses in Queen Anne, and Ballard. I haven't seen many houses available in Capitol Hill. Anyone know of a good rental agent?
Thanks again.

I like Magnolia or Ballard

i like seattle as a city, but too many fucking white people for me. i'm spoiled in cali where every other chick is 1/2 mexican, 1/2 filipino...or peruvian and columbian...or korean and white.
mmm diversity.

Fuck! I want to move to Seattle.

there's no good mexican food here. at all. And yeah, there's a whole lotta white folks too
- It's not exactly Seattle, but there is a great mexican place on Orcas Island... The trade off is that there are only white people out there, except, maybe, the cooks.jarmstrong

Seattle is an acquired taste - I'm still adjusting my palette.
