Another tenant in our office building just came upstairs to tell me that the lot next door, where they just tore down a building is in fact a toxic dump. A Toyota dealer bought the lot to put in a car lot, but the environmental report came back so bad they don't even want to park cars there and are reneging on the deal.Polluted by a bunch of chromium and apparently a dry cleaner has been dumping chemicals in the ground for fifteen years. Fuck, I've worked here for six years. I feel sick....

i think it depends on the type of chromium e.g. The European Union has banned (or limited) the use/application of hexavalent chromium in products and manufacturing sold in europe.
