Im putting a list of supplies together for our studio mock-up room. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what should be in a designers mock-up room?

What do you mean by a 'mock-up' room?

but,... you're not a designer

haha...

Either an outside porch, or one of those trap boxes for trapping all the excess emanation from spray mount.

By mock-up room I mean the room where designers do their mock-ups... thats as best as I can put it

1. Large work table(s)...depends on how many people in the studio. There are 7 of us, we have 2 large tables. Tables only need to be above waist height (preferably stomach-height), sturdy and smooth.
2. Large self-healing cutting mats.
3. What detritus said.
4. Plenty of spray-mounting materials: spray mount, black boards, at least one good brush for wiping off, a burnisher
5. Plenty of x-acto blades and 2–3 handles
6. Paper towels & 409 spray
7. Rulers: Staedtler (or is it Schaedler? You know, the clear plastic rulers that are super precise). A t-square. One metal 18" ruler.
8. Lightbox. Even if you only work w/ digital images, it will be super handy when doing hand-mocked books w/ backed-up pages.

and a project manager who won't take no for an answer, yet knows fuck all about design.

A burnisher is used to run things down. A small metal burnisher is for rubbing down dry transfer, a large, padded soft burnisher is used for rubbing down larger things that have been sprayed and mounted. You need both.
- +1 for knowlege
- 1 for being able to draw 1million times better than meRaniator - Good stuff! Now I can actually say I know what a burnisher is for

Fire the project manager and manage your own dang projects. Polish up on your phone manner and diction before doing so.
Take a shower and swipe on some deodorant, you filthy Gulag refugee. And wash off that eye shadow, this is a business not a band.
Sheesh. Frickin designers man.

I love Xyron-type laminators. A great substitute for spray mount on small things at least.

A pit of fresh cement in case you want to dispose of client dead bodies seamlessly.

Is there a tool for perforating?
- yeah, but don't call him a tool... his name is Jim. He's a hard worker7point34
- Spookytim0
Yes there is ( a tool for perforating), get one. Like a pizza wheel with bits missing from it. Great.
Long arm stapler too. I mean a really long arm stapler, not one that's 'a bit long' from WH SMiths... go to a proper book binder supplies and get a LONG arm stapler.
