I recently designed this for my father. A micro site showcasing his artwork.

He needs to paint bigger pictures.
- dbloc0
should loop the photos on the home page or add more.

He does, but found a niche audience for having artwork on their desk as opposed to behind them on the wall.
- I was just being an arse - I think they're a great idea at that size - very sellable, I'd imagine.detritus

i think its nice, but it may be a bit cold for your father's art... seems very corporate when his work is anything but. just my opnion maybe i'm wrong
dig the work too though, very unique.
would love to have a full size "midnight moon"

Logo = 1 height

where did the price of $44 come from...that's a random #

He can do a full size midnight moon, as he had had request to do so.
thanks for the comments.. wasn't trying to look corporate but rather distinguished.
- it's just the work is fun, for lack of a better way of describing it. it has a niche. play up the playfulness... just a thought7point34

instead of black on the top maybe add some of his art to brand it a little more. looks like a do it yourself website.

that was just his price point.. wanted to stay under 50 including shipping..

Nice job - I really like the idea of diminutive paintings.
A couple of wee points...
- I'd drop the reflection on the 'add to cart' button - it looks a bit tat.
- I hate to say it, but the photos could really be improved - they generally feel in shadow/badly lit.
- I'd have some sort of break between paintings in the gallery - also, I don't like being immediately confronted with the 'view cart' button - it's a bit desperate. Could you code it so this only appears when the cart's got something in it?
- You could do more to improve/tie-in the Cart pop-in - it could do with a bit more space on the sides and could do with your 'branding'
- The Requests section could do with some case studies or something - at least get a picture in there.
- the line spacing in 'About' could be a bit deeper - it's a little hard on the eye.

Why does the nav jump around? (Mac OS X / Safari version latest.whatever)
I like the black / gray thing you've got going. The type in general is way too big, especially paragraph text.
On the logo: I neither love nor hate it. You need to opening the kerning a bit between your customized y and the S in Scape, and open it a little between the P and E. In fact, I would open the tracking (not too much) overall since landscapes, even small ones are generally characterized by openness and space. Your leaf shape arcs a bit too high for my taste. The concept is fine, but I'd rather see the leaf range out further over the word Scapes, as is my eye stops where it curves back on itself.

I really like it. The logo is quite appealing. Just fix the nav and header image - it jumps around from page to page.
