No PS1, PS2 or DVD on PS3? Are you mental? Who told you that shite? Plus you can have any size HD in a PS3 that you want, it just takes a standard 2.5" SATA. And the 360 plays DVDs., what do you think the games come on?

the base ps3 does not include the ps2 emulator. But I believe there are hacks for that. Plus you shouldn't compare the base ps3 to the top of the line 360. The elite is about the same price as the ps3 80 gb. which has the ps2 emulator. Don't forget the downtime of having to send in your 360 for warranty work and the monthly payment for online play.

Buy the one it has the games you want to play. Both are going (and 360 already has) to have awesome games.
The 360 library already is really good, and you can get good games that are already half priced.
What would be the best is to have both, in my case since I have the 360 since launch I'm still going to wait a while for the PS3 to be cheaper.

Apparently someone who didnt know what he was talking about.So to clarify does PS3 play PS1, PS2, AND NORMAL DVD Movies?
Im not talking about playing downloads, im talking about playing my old (disc) games and my (dvd) movies.Doest 360 play Normal DVD Movies?

The 80 gb plays normal DVD and blue ray, I don't think it plays ps1 games. Plus, if you have a bluetooth headset for your phone, that doubles as a headset for online games. it needs to be bt 2.0 or something like that. So for roughly the same price as 360 elite (~500) you get a better system IMO. Right now I think both are even, but the PS3 has more capability on the upside.

case closed- 360 has been out a year longer than PS3. Most (lazy) developers develop on 360 and port to PS3.5timuli

I wouldn't be so sure. There have been many 'exclusive' games that come out for other platforms 6 months or a year later.
