So, favourable tax breaks, cash n carry clients and a different culture and attitude to life.
Is it worth a try? My mortgage is killing me and stopping short of selling myself and a a kidney, I'm finding it hard to save any money any more.
Anyone else or am I alone?

I'm just starting. Graduated last year and started and a great salary. But every house is fiddling around the half mill mark. I really don't want to get a studio for 250k. How is everyone else doing it?

ah, Dubai, the smell of the future. The super rich and slave labor living in a sci-fi architecture nerds dream landscape. It's like a Philip K. Dick novel waiting to happen...

but I do think that there is a certain risky bubble about the whole place. They know the oil money will dry up so they are trying to create a city to keep the income. I just don't know that it's that great of a destination. It's a hot desert .. unless I'm making money there I'd rather vacation some where else.

I'd hate to live there. All of the flashiness of Vegas without the booze.

Real estate pricing (condos, apartments, etc...) or higher in Dubai then they are in Manhattan. Plus financial analysts are forecasting for a large bubble burst in Dubai. If you decide to move, I wish you the best of luck, a very bold move indeed...
