Before i start, i have used the filter with no success so i am putting this one out to the knowledge of QBNers...
i am using CSS to style input boxes on an HTML form.
Everything is fine and all code is valid as it stands, but i can't get the flashing position indicator to display in the text box when you click inside it to type something.
So at the moment when you click in the text field nothing happens at all, which doesn't really go down well on the usability front.Thanks in advance for any help.

or do you have a onfocus=blur() on the input?

Not sure that indicator is controlled with css - never really thought about it though - Can you send a link?
What does your focus attribute look like

ok sorry to sound like a noob but i don't know anything about focus attributes? i presume this is in the <input> tags in the HTML?
thanks for responses so far too :-)

input{
border: 1px solid #000;
padding: 2px;
margin: 5px;
background-color: #FFFFCC;
font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
font-size: 1em;
color: #000033;
}tested it in FF/IE/Safari/Opera on PC.. works, as in, position indicator flashes.

ok my CSS for the inputs looks like this...
#loginemail, #loginpassword{
background-color:#f7f3a4;
border:0px;
border-bottom: 1px solid #aaaaaa;
margin-bottom:3px;
padding:2px 2px 2px 0px;
width:100%;
background-position:bottom left;
background-repeat:no-repeat;
cursor:text;
}
#loginemail { background-image:url("../images...
#loginpassword { background-image:url("../images...and HTML...
<input type="text" name="email" id="loginemail"></input>
<input type="password" name="password" id="loginpassword"></input><br></br>- looks fine when i view that code - focus indicator could be getting clipped off - try increasing the left paddingbulletfactory

Your code works fine in all browsers mentioned above.
Could it be that you want the cursor to appear in the input without clicking on it first?

thanks for testing neverblink, ill do some more tests myself.
no i only want cursor/indicator to appear when user has clicked on input box. im using FF 2.0.0.13 on a Mac OSX 10.4, maybe its just a weird bug.
