While waiting for images to load, I selected "about." When images loaded, I didn't know I had to close "about" window to access them, especially since I could move the book but nothing else. Could be just me.

i dont know... i had it loading and i was thinking about what you wrote... if this is an update thats one thing but it seems its your whole life, and really i didnt stick around long enough to wait and see it... my crit to you is sans your work, it will be about what i didnt see and why...
its nice to show and tell..
that said, perhaps make a new page with all your new work, something to acquire the attention of the user. with this, if it were there, i may have stayed, long enough to even see your work. but that wasnt the case and i bounced.the internet is so big, who are you??? its not like every user in the universe knows you and your work, your update needs a massive update... the white background and words splashed seemded to tell a little story but didnt hold my attention.. i think that is what i am really saying... try to grab the visitors attention firstand hard and fast, because your site takes a long ass time to load i really didnt see anything i dont see in the black and whites of any newspaper...
grab our attentions!!!! and make the site run faster!!!
maybe next time ill actually see your work.

Seems a bit incongruous between the stark black and white and the dark blue and pink details. I wonder if you could bring the color scheme from the details into the main thingy.
