Damn, people trying to get ahold of your personal info are getting a lot more brazen in how they do it.
I got two e-mails this week, one from Paypal, the other from Bank of America, both of which I have accounts with. Both with official logos, boilerplate info, etc. Saying that my online account has been blocked and I need to reenter some info for security purposes. Then they link to what looks like a real Bank of America/ Paypal site and ask you to enter the username and password for your account.
I came close to falling for it until I noticed the sites they linked to were hosted on some random server. Then, logged into my real accounts and realized there is nothing wrong with them. But I could see a ton of people falling for this. It is kind of scary how devious they are getting.

That is why they say to NEVER login to an account from an email link, no matter how official it seems. You did the right thing to go to your bank account directly and check.

ukit,
I know a way to ensure that you will never be spammed again, all you have to do is send me your full name and address, a photocopy of your passport, National Insurance Number, The long number along your Switch / Mastercard along with the Security Code on the back - The reason I need the Security Code Number from the back is to erm ... keep things "Secure".
I forgot my lunch money today so if you could also forward £50 along with all that other information then that would be awesome, i'll get you sorted with that spam malarky no probs.

Googleadwords have been emailing me for the last week trying to get me to log on....
.... dunno if its a scam or not as I have a google account but I have never asked for Adwords

I receive those alot and I always ignore it. The sender is never the paypal domain itself or anything.

Forward the email to :
It most likely does';t change anything, but at least you can feel like you did something about it.

Damnit I guess you were too smart for it. I'm just going to have to try sending it out to the rest of these QBN fools.
