Anyone know the best place to get a MBP in the UK, and what the best spec to get is
I am talking cost, value and any extras like a monitor and RAM upgrade....
Was thinking Mac Refurb or John Lewis as they are "Never Knowingly undersold"
Any help.

Dancer,
John Lewis' prices are only matched with other highstreet stores, ie. they won't match any online prices you find. They do also offer a 2 year guarantee by default - although you automatically have that under the sale of goods act - never ever buy "extended warranty" you're covered already :)
my tuppence.

Apple online refurb store is a no-brainer. A weekend visit to the USA is another option, but the keyboard layout is different there.
Funny, with Sterling following US$ downhill ride a macbook pro in the UK is €150 cheaper than it is in Euroland now.

This maybe the solution then...
So no Mac Warehouse or other online stores that fill the back of Mac Format magazine

Our developer here just got a MBP from the refurb store. No problems there so far.

Get a refurb if you want to.
If you have the money, I would suggest a new one, but most people like the refurbs.
