found this article:

none are perfect but it looks like
Lulu wins

so kappa, did you ever get yours?
I think both of them are pretty good for the price, but Lulu's sizes suck, at least Blurb let's you print 11x13. I'm thinking of using Blurb for a personal book, do any of you have any images? I'm concerned about color, specially grays since I'll be using a lot...

i am considering blurb as well (the 10" x 8" landscape)
here is an article on how to export your indesign files over to the blurb software

Also, I am thinking of buying a book from their user library to check out the quality first hand before I design and order mine.

they both use the same printers. lulu cheaper and more options. Both pretty crap sometimes but both can be 'ok'. I've had a lot of blank books sent - blank pages and messed up covers. Thy always replace them though. Lulu is recommended but dont expect more than 80% perfection!

i used this once, and was pretty pleasantly surprised about the quality and service, you would think it's all pretty cheap if you see the site, but it's better than you'd think.
english:
http://www.myphotobook.co.uk/mac software isn't too shabby either. pretty flexible in layout..

We just used blurb at my company to do a brand book. It came out pretty nice, I was a little disapointed in the image wrap cover, you can see the seam on the back. Next time I'll do a dust cover. Otherwise it was very nice.

you got any pics?

My girlfriend made one with blurb and it turned out good. The templates are bad though, design your pages and place as tiffs.

we should create a QBN book and everyone can purchase it from Lulu or Blurb. I know this was thought of before, but it would be good to get it done.

What's an alternative to blurb? High-quality book printing is the goal.
