I totally thought at first that there was some basketball star with the last name Cobain.

at first i didn't think courtney love could sell out nirvana any more than she had. saw this the other day and was just disgusted.
the personal notes on the sides of the shoes are bad enough but that "punk rock means freedom" bottom on the lo-top is just unforgivable.

what a shame, loved Nirvana, been wearing chucks and one stars for decades but this is just wrong.
Kurdt was a great singer/song writer/ performer but he was a junkie that took the easy way out.
Courtney your no better, I hope you profit enough on these shoes to get even more plastic surgery and hopefully you die under the knife.(Wow that was spiteful)

No, it's true. At least you talked about how messed up Cobain was too.

A Courtney version would of been a better idea
- I'd pay money to stomp on Courtney while wearing Chucks.TheBlueOne
- actually i like this idea... id actually trade my acl for an opportunity to stomp on courtney love7point34

slacker culture seems to go in and out of style. for the most part i think its a trend reserved for teens and people who haen't fully matured

I think the true slacker sensibility/style had a ultra short life span. It was very quickly absorbed and adopted by jocks and popular kids. At least that's what happened at my school.
I remember freshman year in '91, the last wistful days of pirate radio. A friend had moved back to the west coast and taped all this stuff piped in from Seattle. He sent us the tape, on which was Pearl Jam and Nirvana, among others. That excitement and 'exclusivity' of our tiny scene in southern New Hampshire lasted a precious few months.
