For some reason, my motion blur has stopped working properly.
case: http://lewihirvela.com/files/rug…
if you go frame by frame at the title at the end, the motion blur is looking like a fake Flash motion blur and not good at all. Any ideas as to why this might be happening?

frame blending of?
check you render output settings...
is your camera on? whats the aperture settings?your movie is not loading in...
- CALLES0
check composition settings

it even happens in ram preview, all settings are correct, it's definitely doing a motion blur, but not a very good one. I have tried a different comp in the same project with the desired results. Just not happening here. argh!

your color correction seems to be off too ;)
- ephix0
you mean in the footage?
- Drno0
resave your comp with a different name
close A.E/ Reopen it
Open file/ check all the blending, comp setting and see if your camera is correct
re-render
smile :)

possibly because you're rendering upper & lower fields
when you say "it's definitely doing a motion blur, but not a very good one."... is that in your RAM preview?
- ephix0
yep also in the RAM preview as well as output.
- Ramanisky20
you're saying that it "DOES NOT" look good in the RAM Preview mode?
is that text vector from illustrator or is it typed in After Effects?
if its vector then there a setting I think you need to turn off because it wont allow you to do proper frame blending

- did this help?Ramanisky2
- haha come on. as mentioned earlier, it is already rendering a motion blur, just not doing it properly.ephix

post a pic of your render boxes ...

- render it out in frames...not fields and see if it's still doing it?
- maybe you need to reduce the shutter angle on motion blur?
- Pre comp your text?- ram preview is frames, so its not that. how do i reduce the shutter angle on motion blur?ephix

not to cockblock your thread, but did anyone figure out a fix to the AE /QT permissions error:
Do I have to go back to Qt 7.3
I HATE DRM. Quicktime is ruined.
"After Effects error: opening movie - you do not have permission to open this file (-54)"
- the last line in that paragraph should have been the second.dskz

dskz: qt 7.4.1 should fix whatever problems 7.4 caused.
you can also downgrade to 7.3.
read this thread:
