I think you may have to make a brush. How, I don't know, but it's a start...

i think you're gonna have to draw it with vector points.

thing is I wanted to give the line some kind of depth as it snakes off into the distance? so will be quite hard to do drawing each line

draw tiny rectangle with different thick left and thin right side, and stretch it 200000% in width
- drgs0
then cmd+z, and make this rectagnle a brush

just make the stroke then expand and delete one corner

draw a triangle.. like so: /\ (ofcourse with bottom)
select it, drag it to the brushes window. It'll ask what kind of brush you want to make, select Art brush.. select the direction it eneds to go in (with drawing direction or against, or on a 90 degrees angle) draw with it.- btw make sure the triangle is filled black and has no strokeneverblink

you can adjust the width of the stroke by double clicking the Bursh in the brushes window and adjust width there. And if you want it to have a colour other than black (or the colour your original shape had). You can set it in that same window - at the bottom - colouring = tints

This plugin would be overkill for what you're trying to do, but seems like an opportunity to mention it...
http://www.01-lab.com/livepen.ht…Have been playing with this here and there for a week or so now, just became available for CS3. Worth a look...
