Is it downtown? If so, i can tell you a few places to go. One of them is called the Gaslamp Strip Club. It is a pretty cool place to eat. You cook your own meat on the grill and the sides are tasty. Tons of bars down there too.

i think we are staying in the Gas Lamp Dist but not sure as i never been to SD... just list the dope bars or restaurants and comic books stores, sneaker shops, denim stores, high fashion, low fashion, coffee shops, bars and so forth.. tell me what you like to do in SD, show pics and throw down some links, all very much appreciative!!
- the bar top gun was filmed in http://www.kcbbq.net… is right next to the Hyatt downtown. called Kansas City BBQ.ntslide

The gaslamp district has come a long way in the past decade or so. Dowtown SD has really become a nightlife destination. Problem for me is that I hardly ever go out anymore.
There are a lot of cool store and boutiques up and down 5th ave. but most of them are your standard commercial shops like the Adidas store, urban outfitters, etc... Occasionally there's something cool with some local flava. I don't think there are any comic book stores in the area, but I could be wrong. I feel like every time I'm down there I see something new.
You can walk over to the harbor and take a tour of an aircraft carrier - the USS Midway http://www.midway.org/site/pp.as…
I've never done it but it looks really freakin cool.
Horton Plaza is a mall built into the middle of downtown with some really unique architecture. It's pretty cool, but the stores are nothing special.
If you want some cool and interesting cuisine, I recommend Indigo Grill up in Little Italy. I work right next to it.

Honestly though...SD is about the beach. Drive up to Torrey Pines or Cardiff and check it out. Windansea in La Jolla is really nice too.

It's on. Just tell me what night you are available and we can meet at The Waterfront. A cool, mellow bar that has lots of visitors.
