Save for Web Problem

Does anyone know why Photoshop will wash out the colors when I try to "Save for Web". Or better yet how can i fix it so it doesnt do this.

what filetype, what settings, what colour profile?

You can't just go running the defaults. JPG v. GIF v. PNG. What profile were you originally in? All of this is important, and if you play enough you will get it right.

make sure your file is RGB, before you go to export

since save for web saves into rgb... i would imagine you must be in cmyk or at the very least in a different rgb color profile....
its already been said. im not telling you anything you didnt already know

I found it:
http://creativebits.org/photosho…In the save for web options there is a menu where "convert sRGB" is checked by default. Un-check it.

When saving, theres a tiny round button right to "Preset: [somehting]", looks like (>), there should be "Convert to sRGB", uncheck it (I think)
