I have a question about colours. Should I just get black? I know it won't show up as much on my skin, but I don't care that much. Plus, white would be ugly. I am looking at black mainly, but I guess it depends on the image I want too...
- Talk to an artist you trust about it. Or use the carpet cleaner approach and test it out on a small, inconspicuous area.blaw
- Ask the pros. They'll tell you ~EXACTLY how it is. They do it every day for fuck's sake. They might not tell you what you want to hear but best to hear it from them...DaveO

Large areas of solid black can - if done badly - look really shit. Patchy, 'specially on light skin. I think that black work looks lovely on non-white skin as it sinks in and 'becomes' part of the skin, rather than sitting on top, like with us whiteboys.
In a way, I wish I just started off with B/W, but I always see it turn green on caucasians.....

incidently my boss just bought me a £100 tattoo voucher to be used in the next year.....my girl said that the last one was to be the last for a while, but fuck it, I've got a year to decide on what's next..... and where. I'm thinking CHEST!

i notice in all tattoo galleries that the men shave their body where the tattoo appears. is this done just for the photo or do these dudes shave their bits for eternity?
so what do the tattoos look like under body hair?

i don't have tattoos but if i ever did it would most definitely be designed by the tattoo artist and reflect their style.
getting a tattoo artist to ink someone else's design doesn't make sense to me.
- I'd rather design my own, then find an artist with the same style. Since you're right, adopting a style isn't a great idea.ismith
