I'm going to be working on a new site with flash based CMS. Does anyone have any thoughts, suggestions, experience with, etc... that they'd like to pass along before I begin this process?

- I don't think flash is really cooler. Theres a shit ton of stuff you can do with html/javascript that can be done with flash. Its just easier for your avarage joe designer to do it in flash.kalkal

i figured that is what you were going to link.
i will just add this; make sure the client/team/person who will be actually *using* the CMS to manage the site(s) can and does 'like' the UI, rather than solely you. the greatest shortcoming of all CMS adoption is barrier to entry on user behavior having to learn some overly-difficult UI.

I was given a brief tutorial from the flash programmer who will be helping me with the site. Flashblocks seems pretty intuitive, but you're right about making sure the end user can get it. thanks

the other thing i really do not understand is paying for the codebase and UI of a CMS in the first place. the labor required to implement and customize, yes. but purchasing a CMS you cannot re-sell seems pretty old-model, IMO.
