Gotta say jaline, that story about Sony support for blue ray was from 2006.. little outdated, no?

That was just an example. And it's from October...not that long ago. Granted, Christmas didn't occur yet.

Oh, sorry, yes, that was from a while back. I was thinking of something else. If you search you can find more articles.

I can hear Boz screaming.

Anyway, the sales for PS3 have always been last in the race. I think it mainly has to do with price. Maybe this Blu-ray issue will help.

I'm looking pretty sophisticated with my PS3 with Blu-Ray.

Meeklo, I am talking about the PS3 in a statistical manner. Sales are not as high as expected, and are some of the lowest when comparing everything with the competitors.
Also, there are countless stories like this:
http://www.musiciansfriend.com/p…- Which is why many people were not taking Sony seriously.Jaline
- You can't expect people to pay that much money for a gaming system, no matter what it comes with.Jaline
- you can't expect that people won't respect a legendary brand like sony just because the wii sold more consoles than the ps3Meeklo

I saw the thread title and thought, dayum... rip hd dvds... some 14 year old has already hacked the DRM off this beeatch?

Anyway, my point was that this death of HD DVD may help Sony out, in terms of both PS3 sales, and in terms of the reputation of the company itself.
- How much must they hate themselves for letting Apple beat them to the “Digital Walkman”?MrOneHundred

Sony says that they expect the PS3 to outsell the Xbox 360 by 2010 and Wii by 2011. of course by that time, Xbox 720 and Wii 2 (or whatever they'll be called) will be out by then.
