Don't sleep or eat until it's done. And scrap everything you've been working on. That and your thoughts that made your work up to this point is what drove you into this wall, so get rid of it. When you're done, light up and burn the night. The next day you'll either have a finished product or some interesting stuff to work with.

Just apologise and when you do show it be sure to follow this guide:
i find it handy to throw in the occasional "motherfucker" to give emphasis. Such as "i know y'all were feeling those first 2 logo concepts but this motherfucker right here is going to blow your motherfucking mindz.

They screwed up my parole arrangements again, and I’ve been in jail for 3 days.

You need a montage: Cool graphic designer stays up all night to meet important deadline, listens to current and trendy music, wears sunglasses, has visible moments of small failures and successes, the music fades out, the designer is tired but satisfied, he takes off his sunglasses at 6 in the morning and leaves to go present the work to the client who will inevitably love the work and pay the cool graphic designer thousands of dollars, graphic designer exits the building and does an 80s jump, music starts again.

my dealer got arrested so I couldn't get my required "creative helper" so your logo will be delayed.

"Sorry sir, I'm not finished yet. Part of me is acting while the other stands beside. Yes, I am to myself what Jekyll must have been to Hyde"

"I've been working on your project, but it's taking a bit longer to come together. I should have something for you by ____. How does that work for you?"

thx for advice and encouragement.
perhaps in return i'll post my concepts for feeding time at the QBN Dragon's Den... or then again, maybe not.

Just be honest.
In the past I've told my client that I won't have something just yet as I'm not 100% happy with what I've come up with, and that I need more time to develop it further, to in turn give them the best solution possible.

heres a tip that is invaluable:
make the logo as big as you possibly can
... i know, i know. its gold! you can thank me later

Yeah, now you're totally focused on how you're stuck.
Just start putting together any old thing. Give yourself the freedom to just put one thing down, then another, then another. Soon you'll be done. Stay loose, don't judge the thing while you're working on it.
It may not be great, but then again the client may like it.

I sold the concept that i was working on for you, to competitor at a higher rate, haha...
