Besides the $495 Euro InMath plugin, does anyone know how to make in InDesign math fractions?
right now I'm using a trial of MathType...
thanks in advance!

A lot of OpenType fonts have common fractions built into the character set, which is handy, but for odd ones like say, 6/15, I set up a character style for each of the numerator, the slash and the denominator. Not ideal, and I remember there used to be a raft of solutions for Quark, but I am not aware of any for ID.

character style, ey? that's a neat trick. i wonder, though if it'll behave like a math fraction vs. a standard fraction. in that i mean that it would be numerator "–" denominator, not numerator "/" denominator.
hopefully that makes sense. i'll keep tinkering. thanks for the responses!

Yeah, that makes sense. It would probably take a bit of stuffing around, but I am sure you could make up the character styles and then automate the formatting process with some crafty find/replace processes. Good luck!
