I worked with a guy who frequented NT, and I'd always hear the soundbyte "newstoday!" every morning. So, I went there to check it out myself. The rest, as they say, is history.

I moved to Denver in 2001, and a fellow who was dating my wife's
best friend was a designer and we have been geeking out since.
I was telling him about surfstation, and he was like, "nah man, check THIS out" and sent me here. He put me on to NT back then, and I have been hooked ever since.
I didn't have a job then and I was able to hang out on NT all the time, and now it's more of a treat for me.

threeoh, k10k, diK, surfstation I think I found a link on one of those... or for some reason, this sounds familiar too, some site i frequented sort of turned into NT.

well, since I was a little boy, my parents always talked to me about it and constantly told me it was my duty to become an NTer. They sent me to numerous NT summer camps, and used to play the Newstoday tune every night to put me to sleep.

As a freelancer about 4 or 5 years ago, I was rummaging around on the machine I was working on and NewsToday was at the top of the bookmarks. I lurked for 3 years or so before finally piping up. I have been regularly killing threads since that very day.

Lurked for years buddy in a studio i worked in about 4 years ago in Melbourne put me on to the mightyness that is Newstoday/QBN.

I think from a link on ThreeOh or H73. Christ, I can't even remember how you spell them - was H73 Holo73, or something? I don't know - it was so long ago, like 7 years or something.
7 years. That's how old I was when Challenger blew up.

one of those daily katapults - i think in my case also threeoh - posted a very good post one day and wrote in brackets "link stolen from newstoday". i checked and bookmarked. at that time i was frequently active on the thedesignersrepublic forum. no need for link-input but missing a platform like that actually brought me back here after several years.
