England ...
See when the weather gets a bit pish, you know - if it gets a little windy and starts blowing things about or when it starts raining heavily or when it starts to snow .....
.....quit your moaning!
It's really funny when the english start whining on the news when the weather takes a turn for the worse. Try living north of the border where its NORMAL for the winds to be 80mph and freezing cold in the winter months, it rains everyother day and sometimes get hellish snow conditions.

"Try living north of the border where its NORMAL for the winds to be 80mph and freezing cold in the winter months"
That's what I call bad advice.

True. Mind you its blowing up a storm down here in Brighton today and I watched a whole load of little school kiddies... about 5 of them.,.. all instantaneously get flattened by a freak gust up my road this morning. It was funny to see, like it was staged or something. One second they were walking along, next they were all of them lying on their backs on top of huge back-packs with their arms and leggs wiggling about... like beetles.

this is a big bug bear for you isn't it 23Kon? I'm sure if I went to the filter now I would find the same post every winter from you.
Leave them alone, the poor things.
- its a big bug bear of mines, yes a believe i said the same last new years when the weather was windy and people died in england due to the winds. meanwhile up here it was business as usual ;)23kon

Yup, Jersey's not its usual sunny self today either. Could be worse though. Could live in Guernsey. Apparently it gets very cold that far north.

London is not such a happy place right now, but for all you Brits - try living in LA when it rains. You'll never moan about British weather again.
- jamble0
When I went to let the dogs out this morning when I got them to the doorstep only for a massive thunder crack and a bolt of lightening to scare the living piss out of them.
- forbes0
its part of being british - we moan and we moan lots.
i guess its cos the weather changes so much all the time we never really get used to it. like if i lived somewhere where its -30 degrees celsius, snow everwhere all the time, i wouldnt moan cos id be used to it..
same goes for living in somewhere suffocatingly hot..

I remember once my father and I were walking along the buachaille etive ridge and it was cloudy and a bit blowy anyway we heard this sound like a train coming and everything went still but the sound persisted we sort of stopped and looked at each other then whallop we were lifted off our feet and deposited roughly 10 meters or so further up the ridge, after that 'scare' we basically crawled the last few hundred feet to the downslope :/ pretty amazing stuff likesey !!!.
- HAHA, No idea what you look like Chossy but I had a very clear image of you both crawling home just then.********

Ah there you go look, the ' English weather moan' as predicted by 23kon at the top. Migy, you were meant to suffer in silence and dignity for Queen and Country.

I love a good storm me. Bring it on Mother Nature, bring it on!

My primary school in Dunblane used to get closed when it rained heavily :D great days great days indeed you see it would flood at the bottom of the playground and the roofs were in dissrepair.
I actually really like heavy rain it's fascinating.
Not keen on the whole English bashing though I'm sure kons just winding youse up but he does come across a bit queer.
