Seriously though, I also had that problem once with a mobile phone. After a lot of research I discovered that the effect was drastically minimised, though not entirely eradicated, by wrapping the phone in lots of those 1cm wide rubber bands, and then slipping the completely wrapped phone into a section of bicycle wheel inner tube which was then sealed at either end by a glue gun.
You should try it.
