impossible background repeater?

Could any one tell me if it is possible to make the background in this comp as a neverending repeater.? Or if that fails how to make it a big image without that nasty moiré effect.

i agree... not advisable.
only other thing I can think of is to fading out the rings... so it stops repeating. But, who knows what that will end up looking like.

Would have been better, we did not designed this one, if we did i would have stayed away from this back. But you never know if someone got a solution. Maybe script it or something.

i think you could avoid moiré if you remove the anti-aliasing, but then it will look more cranky

ok, so to sum this up, you have the following alternatives:
1. make a really large background-image.
2. fade the rings to bgcolor, to make it a smaller background-image.
3. make it in flash.
4. change the design.personally.. I'm for 4 - at least bring the contrast of the rings down, as this page would cause major headaches when scrolling.

No. No rollovers, if they can't tell it is a link by seeing a hand show up over the image then that person might as well kill themselves because they don't know how to use a computer.

Could do some SVG-based magic, but I wouldnt have a clue how save for googling SVG, seeming as I can achieve everything I want by other, superior technologies.
And honestly - the rings don't need to go all the way down the sides of the content to give it the concentric idea, even just a few rings, less than 10 would give the right idea of the concentricness.Please, take off most of the rings - people have got to look at this, remember..
