I just think with the popularity of Djs around, and the huge following they developed in the past 10 years (maybe more) where tickets cost as much as a live band (or more depending on dj name), most people think electronic music is just one guy in front of 2 turntables and a mixer, that is only a part of the spectrum, there are also "live acts" with even more instruments than a traditional band, samplers, effects racks, keyboards, drum machines, custom designed midi triggers/ instruments, maybe a filtered traditional instrument (on the more organic side of electronic music) bass, drums (acustic or electronic) computers/ sequencers and god knows what else.
