i kinda like 1, 4, 5... but it needs a bit more work...

I don't think the juxtaposition in 4,5,6 is a good idea - it looks like the gavel is smashing the house:)
What's the goal of the redesign?
- agree. sorry.
Andy_ssw - i also agree. i think you have some concepts that could work.studderine

What ukit said. There's something there but it's not quite there...

5. the rest look out of balance to me.

no. 5 is the better one

Um...they are all really flat and uninspiring to be quite honest. I'd suggest doing a lot more type exploration and definitely some sketches with the gavel to see where else you can take it - because none of these approaches are working.

They are no better than the original
Esp nr 3 and all below where gravel beats on the house (!) are the funniest

3 is the nicest and looks like a monkey hasnt designed it.

letter replacement with objects - better not. allthough in the green one her it's well done. also yes: avoid any smashing. how about putting the words one under the other and place the gavel next to that column..
neat idea in the original about hammering the usa red.

4 or 5, but they still need some work. Lots of it. :)

3. but I'd drop the gavel below the baseline and develop it a bit more.
Have to reiterate that house destroying giant hammer is NOT a cool USP for this company ;)
