use vlc the watch it, one downloaded.oh yea this trick works also with myspace music, veoh and other stuff...

http://www.vixy.net does a decent job of converting youtube.

vixy gives me problems at times. I use keepvid.com to DL the flv then isquint.org to convert the flv to a mp4

Videobox from http://www.tastyapps.com/ works fine and it a fair price considering how much time you save. Only thing I miss is a quality setting menu.
