This was 1958, I first saw Miles in UK live at the Royal Festival Hall in 1959, never forgot it and I still have the programme.Enjoy

Thank you mrdobolina, I was browsing jazz threads here and saw this. Turns out Hancock plays Dublin on Wednesday. I probably have to thank the 2008 credit crunch, there still are tickets!

A few all time faves off the top of my head- nothing obscure here- these are all classic records:
"Album of the Year," Art Blakey & The Jazz Messengers
"Volunteered Slavery," Rashaan Roland Kirk
"Green Dolphin Street," Chick Corea
"Monk's Dream," Thelonious Monk
"In A Silent Way," Miles Davis
"Maiden Voyage," Herbie Hancock
"The Sidewinder," Lee Morgan
and yes non- "Out to Lunch" is...out there- love it!

Just got back home from Herbie Hancock (with Terence Blanchard, James Genus, Lionel Loueke, Gregoire Maret and Kendrick Scott).
That was incredible, thanks again dobs for the reminder from the past!
