My university made the switch to InDesign and we haven't looked back. Quark was nice in its day but it is a dinosaur.
InDesign isn't perfect by a longshot... nothing from Adobe is. Why must every new version nearly double its resource requirements and offer no significant improvement. What I think would improve it is to make it fast and ultra stable. Lower the requirements and streamline the interface even move so it is tolerable to work with it on a laptop.
- Pretty fast and stable on my 17" 2.4GHZ w. 4GB ram. no more bugs than quark had. mostly awesome.Soler
- yea... but you can't deny how boated the install is.cramdesign
