Anyone have a work-around for fixing the IE flash player detection issues in 9.0.115.0 without asking users to reinstall flash player?
I couldn't find much help on the deconcept site.

My quick work around (for posterity)
if(document.all) this.skipDetect = true;
place this after 'this.skipDetect...' to defeat flash detection on ie. not ideal, but better than a blank page.
anyone have something better?

it's not swfobject- it's a corrupt install of flash player. if you uninstall and re-install it will be fixed

So I've heard, but I can't ask all my users to do that.

I've had problems with this before. I've followed
http://blog.deconcept.com/swfobj…
and everything seemed to work fine.

the corrupt player came from a CS3 install or something... it's not that common
