Well, it cost a bit more than $100 but I got one for my 3-year old daughter (really for myself). Still trying to figure out how this thing works but it is interesting in that it utilizes a completely different metaphor for computing. No more desktop, files, trashcans, etc.
Anyone else own one of these?

i hope you sent one for the kids..it's meant for!!! as well ;)
- ya, i did the two for one deal. you pay for two and one is sent to you, the other to someone else in a third world country.nearestexit

wait...now i really am confused!?
this does seem like a "help the children" act, and not a "get my daughter a computer" sort of thing...- right, but the program that was going last month was something along the lines of buy 1 give 1.nearestexit
- you actually paid for two but only received one of them. the program ended dec. 31.nearestexit

So I guess nobody owns one of these things?

i'm thinking of convincing some of our clients here in India to do that and get some sent to kids here. I'm highly skeptical that any corporation is gonna bother with it though...blah.
I'm def gonna get one sent. would love to work with one as well.
- I believe there is an emulator out there somewhere that let's you see the interface as if it was on the machine itself. If I can find it, I'll post the link.nearestexit
