I'm thinking about getting one.
Are you happy with your iPhone? Knowing what you know now, would you get one again?

I am, yes.

put me in an Apple commercial because my iPhone has brought me more joy that anyone or anything else this year. Then again, I live a sad, boring life, so a bowl of rice could have done the same thing, given the right moment.
I'm looking forward to purchasing the next gen.
- when do you think the next gen will come out? im contemplating whether i should get one now or later.Antonelli
- If 3G is important to you wait until Spring, the likely target.ninjasavant
- Just wait.....jevad
- yes, I would assume the next gen would be at the 1 yr. anniv mark, so, around JunePoint5

Just got one for my wife, and she loves it.. I have to admit that I steal it and mess around with it quite a bit..

I like mine, the only thing that is really annoying is that you can't send multiple recipient texts.
- that does suck. oh, and the fact that its on at&t.ninjasavant
- true, that sucks. they need to change that shitPoint5
- at&t does blow, but at least in Minneapolis it's better then T-mobilecursiveshotgun
- good cellphone providers dont exist, so why would it matter that its on at&t or anyone else?Meeklo

i would love mine.. it is annoying you cannot send multiple text recipients.. also not photos with texts.. cut and paste would be great.. other than that.. i love it.. more camera controls would be fun..

i flippin love mine. i couldn't imagine being without it. i was never on a 3g network so i can't bitch about edge, i've never needed to send multiple texts to multiple people but once jailbroken it all works.

Love mine but at this point i would at least wait until after macworld expo jan 15th and see what happens cause you never know. if you get one for xmas take it back and get a gift card credit.

I have a question about the battery life.
What happens when it finally fails to take a decent charge anymore? They project 500 charging cycles with proper (complete discharge/recharge) use. When they finally won't accept a charge anymore... they will have to be sent in, won't they?
How long will that take to replace it?
Will you get a loaner?
What about being without your phone, (and phone number) for a week to 10 days?
How many people will it take on Apple's staff to replace over a million batteries in units sold-to-date?Do I ask a lot of questions?
Really?

I love mine too, but I'm now running 1.1.2 which means I can't use 3rd party applications anymore. iTunes forces you to upgrade to the latest firmware when you do a restore.
The 3rd party apps really add a whole lot of extra value to the device. I'll continue to wait for the Feb. launch of the official SDK.
- What are you talking about? Most new apps are for 1.1.2 only. Jailbreak it again and you're set.rafalski

i am, wish the camera was better tho

email is a bit sloppy on it... especially when you write a long email... press send, and it just disappears! not in out box or anywhere!

I LOVE my iPhone.
The screen is really scratch resistant - way better than any iPod screen I have.
Just wish they would get some more apps out soon. Hurry up with that SDK Apple!

I honestly thought that browsing via EDGE would be worse than it turned out to be. It's pretty damn usable.

i just hacked mine to work on a 3G network using a 454 double compressed expansion chasis linked to a grande americano bicarbonate hydraulic system. I'm pretty happy with it so far but i would recommend waiting for the nanocompressed gobblinga which is rumored to be out by the middle of next year.
