hey everybody, has anyone had any experience with canceling their cell phone plan w/o paying the termination fee (t-mobile in particular)? i know there are some ways to do this like use your phone with roaming always on or transferring the contract responsibility (in fact this is quite appealing). anyone know whats up?!

i heard the penalty fee is a big ass amount of number.
and i've also heard you can do contract transfer. you know sell the contract to another person. good for you cuz u dont have to deal with the contract and good for him cuz the contract is shorter than what it originally was. maybe call your service provider and ask them about the contract transfer thingy.

Surely if you didn't sign an extension to your contract the automatic rollover of your contract means you're just on a month to month so can cancel whenever you want?
Don't know who the watchdog for telecomms is in the US but in the UK, you can threaten to report any dodgy behaviour to OFTEL and the phone company will play ball.
