you should charge what you are comfortable charging. Asking what clients are comfortable paying is a little silly
If the clients up shit creek with a crazy deadline they'll pay anything to make sure it's done on time. What a few thousand extra here and there if it means not pissing off a client worth millions.

We do a lot of work for Ford through JWT. Their budgets are usually very good.

i am referring to your statement:
"don't know if we're talking about the same company....or if so, don't think all their creative work is handled through texas....that'd be something tho...lol.... if the creative director in New York gets an idea, he has to wait for some dude in texas to make the mock ups?
that almost sounds like an episode of i love lucy...."i execute the creative conceived by any one of the offices globally of the agency. this is a very common practice for large agencies as on of the principal elements of economies of scale is that you do not replicate all holdings/assets in each location you maintain, but leverage those that reside in certain locations; in our case it is the creative team/studio.
make sense?

We shared an office building with them in the St Louis area. I believe all their design work is handled in Texas though. Correct?

just got a call from JWT to do what amounts to a google mashup for one of their biggest clients..haven't worked with JWT before now...my boss is wondering what sort of rates they'd be comfortable paying...any ideas?
the specs on this job look pretty impressive...wish i could say more..but the turn around is pretty aggressive...middle of January for phase 1 completion...
