Anyone get it yet? Apparently the place I ordered from in advance ... has it back ordered. So I don't know what that means, it looks like they are at Best Buy and the like just fine. :X

I hear it is not in stores (I actually went to a Best Buy at lunch) anymore. Well the complete set, not just the game.
On a side note mine should be delivered Monday finally.
And yes, I went to buy it out right at Best Buy because I can't fathom another weekend without it. This game is going to change my life.

I absolutely hate these games with a passion.
I have been playing guitar for 10 yrs and this game makes me want to smash shit. It's not even like playing a real guitar!
Why not actually learn to play an instrument and improvise?

I've played guitar for 14 years, play in a band and am pretty good... I love Guitar Hero. Although it throws me since I know how to play most of the real songs. It's good to drink and play it with friends. I can't drink and play guitar with a bunch of my good friends and try to win and insult others!

Is it like playing a real guitar? Not even fucking remotely.
Do I know how to play a guitar? Not even fucking remotely.
Have I always wanted to rock the fuck out like David Bowie, or Pete Townsend? Hell motherfucking yes.
These games are a tremendous amount of fun, especially for those of us who either not musically gifted, or simply never put forth the effort to learn an instrument. I'm not the former. I just don't have enough time in the day to learn how to play a guitar, let alone learn how to play all the songs I ever dreamed of.
Plus add booze, and some other friends who never picked up a guitar (or have and just want to try it to see how translate [it doesn't]) and it's the ultimate party game!

Haha yea, a lot of people told me what the episode was about beforehand, and a lot of other people asked me if I saw it afterwards.
I did. It was absolutely hysterical like, well, pretty much all South Parks.
If anything it fueled me more ... because I have yet to hit one million points. Doing pretty well in Heroin Hero though, I almost got that dragon the other day.

I happened upon it last night at Target. They had 5-6 of them in stock so I lost my mind and bought one. We played it for 3-4 hours and it was extremely fun. The only reason I ever had any interesting in Guitar Hero and the like was because of that South Park episode. Before that I had no inclination to ever play it and now it's back to being a fat 12 year old at 27.
