Tim, can you tell us a bit about working with Microsoft? Was there a lot of pressure to make certain design decisions over others? I'm not convinced by the interface. (Overly heavy, feels more like a TV commercial than a usable website...) What are your feelings in general on web design as we approach the close of 2007?

I don't get it. You just go forward or backward and look at the graphics? anything else to it?

plenty to looks at and Rosey is sort of a PC Fiest so it all makes sense.

I like the music player component - I'd rather the journey was more defined by the music choice, than by my aimlessly moving back and forth for.. well, for what exactly?
I mean - the Journey's kind of interesting - but not really interactive or engrossing enough to justify my continuing.
Kind of like the Zune itself, it smacks of merely being for the sake of being. Or am I missing some subtle underlying point about the fundamental meaninglessness of it all, but 'ssh now! while you distract yourself with some media consumption'?

Is it not odd that for the majority of the affair, the Zune itself is hidden away?

Wasn't there a thread on this already? Yeah, it's a bunch of eyecandy, welcome to the world of splashy Flash marketing sites,

why no Shining footage???
- PonyBoy0
I'd hide it too...
... having that thing is like being the kid in grade school who had the dorky lunch box or generic 'trapper-keeper' wanna-be.

(Nov 9 07, 13:05)Yes, in essence the Zune is a ginger headed stepchild, too unbalanced and badly mannered to be seen in front of the neighbors. He must be hidden, and only be referred to as "that little problem" in polite company.

"Yes, in essence the Zune is a ginger headed stepchild".
Hmm..
So, conversely - I'm a Zune?*shudders
"Oh my god - I cum in brown!"
Sorry, that just popped in to my head.
- harlequino0
*Sigh. I repeat, "that little problem."
;)

I think this thread is more specific than the one yesterday. Curious to know the level of participation from Microsoft. Geared towards Tim... I guess we could just e-mail him. Hoping he sees this thread to make it public though.
