considering a job in Tulsa OK. I'm currently in Dallas.
can anyone let me know what's up with that city/area?
Is it a good place to raise a family?
Are there good (web design centered) user groups there like refresh?
General knowledge and opinions?

I'm in OKC. OK is definitely a good place to raise family. I've lived here all my life.
My wife lived in Tulsa (before we got married) for a year and loved it.

Dallas is fine.
However, it seems like I can get anything in Tulsa that I have in Dallas.
The job is great. Lead IA for a entertainment/multimedia company.
Just want to make sure it's a place that my family will be cool with.
I dont really drink anymore so dont care about that. Thanks for the heads up though.
I do notice that there doesnt seem to be any "user groups" like we have here ie. refresh dallas, adobe users... i really like that sort of thing.
it looks like hiking, fishing is more accessible there.

AD is definitely the top "group" in OK. AIGI OKC is pretty much a joke from my one visit. Save your $15 and the trip.

good info. i've had similar experiences with AIGA. the reward vs the cost is pretty weak no matter.
if i do make the move, ill look into starting a refresh group there. i like that format and mix of skills that show up. you have one in ok city. have you been?
