The case for InDesign has already been made and has been shot down. I hate old people as much as I hate Quark.

are u on mac or pc? and why not use indesign?
they even have indesign plugins that allow you to take the wonky quark files and make them better in indesign.
also, theres a reason quark isnt usually called quark XPRESS. cuz it aint fast.
