Paypal Refunds Rant

If you need to reimburse someone, I suggest you send them money. Paypal's refund takes up to 2 weeks to go through even after the money's been pulled from your bank account. They block it for 6 business days because as I've been told when I called them IT'S LIKE THAT.
Oh btw, somehow, if you buy from Canada to US you'll pay more than US price and when you get reimbursed with US funds, you'll get significantly less in Canadian money. So I just lost 5 bucks in this and my money's being held hostage for 2 weeks. >:(

What? I'm just sharing this as warning that the refund system leaves alot to be desired. I've refunded someone, they took the money right out of my bank account and then it took 2 weeks for my client to be given that money by paypal.
I've had no other issues with them. But the refund is kind of ah... broken and useless.

Paypal is 'like that' a lot.
I've recently had trouble with it, but I won't bore you with the details.
It's an amazing business plan when you think about it:
eBay - the seller, or user, does all the work and still has to pay for the privilege and then 9 times out of 10 gets paid with PayPal (owned by eBay of course) and they take some of the money aswell... amazing.

Yup, PayPal is utter arse - just about OK for consumers wanting to buy tat on eBay - fundamentally useless for anything beyond.
Shyster motherfuckers held on to quite a few thousand pounds of ours, for about a year, TWICE.
Stupidly, I just last night agreed someone could pay me for an old job via PayPal, which means I have to dig around for my sign-in and and resurrect that bastard account.

Y'see - I WILL bore you with the details. That's the way I roll.

I blame Pierre.

btw did you know that they charge higher in conversation of currency than banks or currency exchange place?
also I been ripped off by them when fraud happens. they always side with the seller.
fuckers

Well I still don't understand how I lost 5 bucks in the money being converted back and forth from US value.

I mean, it's not to be whiny, 5 bucks no big deal to me but ouf of a 50$ product I didn't get it's kind of shitty.

I like Paypal in general, but I think their Canadian services are lame. Stop taking like 8 days for money to go through!

I like Paypal. I only use it for small amounts, and i never had any trouble at all.
you are a mindless fickle cunt if you transfer or store large amounts of cash on that service.
- Nairn0
You know nothing about me, 'wunderbra'. I had plenty good reason to have more money on there than most people.

I had lots of money sent to me from places where I sold stuff. But not much. Really, I have never had huge problems with Paypal. Reporting on people who didn't send you their product after paying through Paypal is fun because it usually scares them into getting their ass in gear and sending their stuff to you.
I'm guessing Paypal is more useful for buyers compared to sellers.
