1) in the 65,000 years of arctic ice core measurements, there has never been even remotely close to the same atmospheric CO2 than has been produced in the last century.
2) Polar ice caps are 12º warmer on average than they were 100 years ago, this is way out of range of typical cyclical behavior.
3) CO2 produced by humans has increased 10,000 fold compared to 150 years ago.You claim there all these experts who disagree with global climate change, when in fact there are ZERO peer reviewed scientific articles published in the last 30 years to disagree with global climate change and humans as the reason for that change. none. not one academic peer review article.

tell me, who is a good person and deserving of this award? You people allow this small but vocal minority shape your opinions about what is good and true in this world. Just like the "swift boat veterans" such bullshit a decent hard working person can be so railroaded by corporate interests, lobbyists and the angry neo conservatives of talk radio and cable news.
Tell me, who is a good person if you think Gore is so bad? I would really like to pit that person head to head with Gore on almost any issue.

personally i don't really see why GOre got the prize when you compare him to the other winners

all of them are about human rights, democracy etc while his is an environmental issue. IF he made the issue more political like connecting it to the industry wars in africa or south america and Iraq then I might get it but as far I see it's just a general argument about emmisions and global warming. The issue has a lot to do with peace, preventing wars over oil and resources that pollute, less demand would mean more peace potentially, but that's not exactly the context Gore put it in.

If he was serious about global warming and not just boosting his public image through films and media appearances with the excuse of global warming he'd be lobbying big time to crack down on corpoartions etc. Which would subsequently destroy his political career anyway. If he was prez he'd spew a shit load of fluff and empty promises and senate would give a zillion standing ovations for saying "sustainable and profitable future" or something, then they'd pat each other on the back on camera and make Iraq somehow related to emmisions
