I'm wondering which one I should get for a font request from a client.

... Which one to use to create a font that has been requested to be commissioned from a client?

We have started in illustrator and we'll be looking to export these as a font for them.

Fontographer is my choice, but it is cancelled and no longer supported (lame).
I bet Typo will weigh-in on this one.

Thanks Madirish.
I've been leaning towards Fontographer, mainly due to price.

buy the whole $649 suite from fontlab, and have fun, never mind the $300 price difference
(who cares really? it's sold at the same site)

I think i'm sold on Fontlab. I've been reading and have seen that everyone who designs fonts professionally uses Fontlab from beginning to end. Wish me luck and thanks guys.
