What is your preferred thinking music? I know Kona's into Whitesnake, but what about the rest of you? What do you listen to at work when you need to concentrate and get things done?

when i really need to focus, i will shut off any music and think for a while. then, i'll put some electronica to listen in the background and to set a good pace...nothing specific...

downtempo/jazzy beats
mg33 i have been listening to souvlaki lately too - i love velvet morning. my cd sounds half as loud as any of my others.

spendogg - I like Slowdive quite a bit, if I listened to them enough things would change way too much in my band. I like atmospheric reverb-ish guitars and have all the gadgetry to do that.

Usually some Madlib/Jay Dee beat CDs or GO! Team for some reason.
I need something to bop my head and shoulders to get in the groove.
Minimal talking is kind of a must, or if there is talking it helps if I do not care what they are jibber jabbering about, haha.

aesop rock's 'all day' mix. . .
i'm pretty sure there is ActionScript backward-masked into shpongle tracks. get stuck, pull the playlist up, resolution within 3 or 4 tracks.

The best RHP song is when he covers "Shock Me" by Kiss.

Yah spendogg. I have a two-disc set I bought a few years ago, can't remember the name.
But he's really good, don't have them on my ipod but probably should.
Getting an 80 or 160 gig ipod in the next couple of weeks, only have a 20 gig now. It will be nice to have everything I have music-wise on there.
