Anybody's DVD Drive on their MacBook ever broke down?
As in not reading discs and spitting them out again?
I am trying to reinstall the Mac OS from the original DVD and it keeps failing, leaving me with a try re-installing again option, thus not getting the Mac OS Installed.
Anybody know the number for Apple's Technical Support in the UK to send it back to them to get repaired?

try to re-boot by holding down the "Shift" key, i believe it disables your preferences allowing you to re-install.

...I had a similar thing on my 17" PB - the drive just died on me - so I ended up getting an external dvd drive and did it that way.
If it is still under warranty I's send it back - all the numbers you need are on apple.

It's reading DVDs and not Music CD's for some odd reason?
Anybody know of a fix?
