Any site that presumes to encumber me with two preloaders without any hint of explanation as to what it is and use 'refill' for Home, is pretentious.
The cut water gimmick is too jagged for my liking too.
(How's that bleak summary for pretension? :)

er.. I quite like it though - the variety and method in the work display is cute.

hmm not a big fan of the site, maybe my pc is a bit too slow for it to work properly, love the leica posters though :)

I find it odd that some creative agencies start off with the people rather than the work.
Gringo's work is awesome.

What are all you guys so impressed with?
With mouse-trailer-loaders, water mouse trails and ripples this site REEKS of as much 2001 flash w*nkery as you can throw at a website.
With a 'cutting edge' firm you'd expect them to brief the web builders better than this
"we want a rotating shape that we saw sometime in 2001"terrible inconsistant navigation.
designed by a print designer
built by someone whos downloaded some fla's from flashkit.com for flash 4

Does WHO its designed by matter? if this was some nube that posted up a link to his flashtastic site with that many mousetrailers and gimmicks he'd have had the piss ripped right out of him on here.

(Sep 14 07, 00:57)yes it matters
why shouldnt it?just like that HP printer (make your own business set) online campaign.
if Paula S didnt design the set, the whole thing would not of gotten any attention from anyone.

(Sep 14 07, 00:57)sorry

cheeky hoor!
i see no MrD portfolio link in his profile.nothing wrong with my gimmickery - it's certainly not overkill or cheese. and the whole site CERTAINLY didnt have the budget like that of the Cutwater. mines was built in a week to get a portfolio up there when i had some spare time.
For Cutwater to be designed by (and i quote) "most talent interactive guy in the globe" and "Fabio who is the interactive CD is another amazing interactive guy" i , quite frankly, am dissapointed.
Their portfolio of work is great and I dont think the userexperience of this site reflects their cutting edge portfolio.
That "Refill" button to get back to the mainscreen and see the main navigation. Some of the poorest useability i have seen since i dont know when! its faded and not instantly noticeable.
this site ISNT good web design or good practice even though the flashactionscript or the backend might be as slick as a weasel!

are people tired of fun on sites now?

Yes. Misery is the new grey.

Yeah real nice!
However, that little water sound effect when you move the mouse sounds like a pee squrt into the bowl, haha!
